Marinette Senior Center Bulletin - November 28th, 2002 by Tyler Kristopeit
This article has been re-printed from the Marinette Senior Center Bulletin in honor of Richard and Alma Kristopeit's service to Seniors in Marinette, Wisconsin. The article was written by Sharon Schomer, Director of the Marinette Senior Center. Richard is "retiring" from serving as Board President (among other positions) for several years....
"Richard Kristopeit has been our board president so many years I have lost count. He worked hard in the community letting city hall, schools, and the State Legislators know there are senior centers existing in Wisconsin and especiallly in Marinette. He has worked with school officials, firefighters, and the police letting them know how seniors appreciate them, with many times being the only one there to represent us. Richard helped start Taxi Inc., the taxi that helps so many seniors. He has helped start, and also helps pick up bakery from Angeli's (a local grocery store) along with other senior members, which helps fund our center. The list could go on and on, but behind every good man there is a special woman who helped support and encourage him to continue. This special person is Alma Kristopeit, his wife of 54 years, who will also be leaving our Board."
Congratulations Dick and Alma!
